Like countless people around the world, I’ve fallen in love with the Minions. Ever since their big screen debut in Despicable Me, I’ve been charmed by their playful and mischievous ways, their obsession with bananas, and the beautiful art and storytelling that brings them to life.

Illumination and Universal Pictures present The Grinch, based on Dr. Seuss' beloved classic. The Grinch tells the story of a cynical grump who goes on a mission to steal Christmas, only to have his heart changed by a young girl’s generous spirit.

So I’m especially excited to share that Illumination Entertainment and Universal Partnerships & Licensing have partnered with EA on a long-term deal to give mobile gamers their “Phil” of the Minions.

And I mean that quite literally: this summer, we’re releasing Minions Paradise™, a new mobile game starring “Phil,” an exclusive, never-before-seen Minion created by the team at Illumination.

Our game developers have been given the rare opportunity to work shoulder-to-shoulder with Illumination’s writers, directors, artists, and animators to deliver a Minions mobile game rich with story, gameplay, and the magical details that have made the Minions a global phenomenon.

In this new game, Phil holds the key to building the ultimate Minions Paradise, and joins his Minion buddies as they set out to create the world of every Minion’s dreams after their plans for a tropical vacation go awry. You will get to build, craft, and design the ultimate Minion playground every step of the way.

Get ready to water ski behind alligators, fish for electric eels and toss mangos from floating balloons as you’re immersed in the ultimate Minion utopia. We’re building a huge game with tons to do, so you can have endless fun with your own Minions!

We’ll be sharing more updates on this new game and other experiences planned in collaboration with Illumination and Universal here in the coming weeks and months. You can also follow us on Facebook and Twitter for more news and updates.
