Introduction
Winning in Little Alchemist can be pretty hard if you are new to the trading card genre. In this walkthrough strategy guide, we will provide you with pointers to help you do better and advance further in the game. Please check out our mobile game guides section for more guides for Little Alchemist!
We will go over basic strategies, the best classes, and potential strategies to help you with Little Alchemist. By applying these winning strategies and concepts to your Little Alchemist game, you will win more often and get less frustrated!

Best Little Alchemist Class
There are three different alchemist classes that you can pick in the game:
Green: Enhance your cards attack and defense during combo.
Red: Deals direct damage to enemy during combo.
Blue: Heals your HP during combo.
Although they sound almost the same at first glance, picking the right classes can help you win more card battles. In general, the order of the best Little Alchemist classes are as followed: Green > Red > Blue. We will go over the reason why.
Green’s combo boost your card’s as the following:
Combo 1 = +1 Attack, +1 Defense
Combo 2 = +2 Attack, +1 Defense
Combo 3 = +2 Attack, +2 Defense
Combo 4 = +3 Attack, +2 Defense
Combo 5 = +3 Attack, +3 Defense
Now you can see that the green class obtain 1 additional “stats” right at the first combo, which gives it a slight advantage over all the other classes, especially when you are starting to have researched all the potential combos.
The red is the weakest as although it can deal faster damage to enemies, you are more likely to get killed when you have lower upgraded cards.
End Game Class
Blue actually becomes the strongest class once you have researched all of your combos and have a good stash of cards. By having your HP consistently healed through max combo, you will not die unless your opponent has much upgraded cards than yours.
Combo is Key
The key to winning in Little Alchemist is to keep your card combo streak alive. Always continue to boost your combos as your priority through your card battle. The players with a high combo streak will usually kill another player given that they have similar card upgrades and setups.
This means that whenever you have a choice between final form cards or get your combo higher, you should almost go for additional combo strategy rather than the final form.
The only exception to use the final form cards in battle is when you have stacked the combos to the highest level possible. In addition, keep research to unlock all the possible combos and get the most values out of your existing card deck.
Unlock Research Slots
With such a high research time at the time of writing this guide, your best bet is to research whenever you can. Grind adventure modes early on in the game to unlock all the research slots. If you have the real world cash, purchase some gems to unlock the research slots early on. The only downfall is that the money becomes “wasted” when you have researched all the possible combos down the road.
However, as the developer releases more updates and card combos, you may find yourself ahead of the pack if you invest early into the combo research slot.
Final Form Card Strategy
In general, you should avoid having final form cards in your deck at all. Final form cards do not tick up your combos and they actually take away valuable deck spaces. You would rather draw elementary or base cards instead of having a hand full of final form cards.
The only exception is that you could potentially upgrade some overpowered golden rare final form cards, and use them as a surprise attack with green full combo orbs.
Once my city had progressed far enough, I could construct buildings over monster lairs, so the demons could never return. These monsters would continue to respawn however, so this was only a temporary solution. Cybernator solutions. Pesky monsters would try to get in my way however, so I’d send my naked cherub servant to pelt them with arrows. If I needed to change the topography, I’d send a deadly earthquake that would ravage the land (you thought your god was tough).Once I was done destroying (ahem, I mean altering the environment) I would direct my people to build roads and houses.
Card Pack Purchase Priority
Do not waste your precious coins or diamond gems to purchase low level card packs. You are better off to save enough coins and purchase the higher level packs. Towards end game you will most likely combo your cards with uncommon and rare cards, and you will gradually phase out the common cards. This means that all of your early purchases become effectively wasted.
Attack is Always Better than Defense
In Little Alchemist, having a card decks that geared towards attack is much better than defense. The reason is that the damage you do is virtually uncapped, it means that all the damage counts when they break through the enemy card defense. However, your “overflow defense” becomes wasted as long as it can withstand enemy attack.
There is one exception where a Defense focused deck can be better, it only works when you use the Red class where you deal raw damage to the enemy player. They cannot break through your defenses while your combos deal raw damage. However, if you have enough resources and time to build a defense deck, you would be way better off to build for offense.
Avoid Suicidal Double Kills
Little Alchemist is designed such that if you and your opponent are both killed in the same round, you are the one that loses. So, when you and the opponent’s health are both low, you should play defensively. Avoid being killed in the same round as your opponents, wait for your chances to break through enemy defense if possible instead of going suicidal.
Be Aware of Auto Fills
Auto Fill your deck is usually not the best strategy for Little Alchemist, auto fill does not take into consideration of going high card count and they usually insert more Final Form cards. When you start to move away from newbie status and grow your deck, start to edit your deck manually instead of using the auto fill function.
Card Upgrades
As you get further in the game and get to the stage where you grind for cards, you will take advantage of card upgrades even more. Spend the time to upgrade your cards. The best cards to upgrade are the ones that generate rare combos and their effects stack. It’s better and much easier to have a deck with plenty of level 2 cards that make great combos.
